Way to stop my legs from growing?

Odd title i know, but itl make sense
At the moment im cutting, im riding 10km to work then 10km back and keeping pretty busy while im there. The thing is ill be bulking up soon and i dont want my legs to grow because of all the biking (up and down hills a lot).
The reason is my genes (thanks Dad!), my legs are too big, they dont look out of proportion but they are plenty big enough as they are. My thighs are basically very "round" if thats the right word, its difficult to explain  in order to get a decent fitting pair of trousers i have to buy a size or 2 up and wear a belt, just so my damn thighs will fit in them.

I know they wont grow much because it endurance, but 2 hills are quite fearsome and require some serious pumping to get up them. I dont want my quads to go turbo on me. Anyone know of a way to help stop them.

P.S Is it possible to spot reduce MUSCLE?? Thats an interesting question i thought up on the way to work

I really have no idea. I'm pretty sure you can't "reduce" muscle unless you just stop working it.

But my legs are like yours. Way big plus they're a bit out of proportion. I tend to think of it as a blessing because i know lots of guys who put in lots of time and effort who still haven't achieved the same size.

If it's genetics, then apart from immobilizing your legs, they are going to respond to the stimulation. The other variable to play with would be your diet although there is no guarantee that by undereating you will not waste away other muscle tissue elsewhere on your body.

Waaaaaaa.

I don't think it can be done - just work them less with less weight. But if they tend to grow best - then you just may be cursed with good legs. I've got some bird legs I'll gladly swap with you.

My legs are the same as yours. I can't wear all those nice jeans because they are made for abercrombie models with chopsticks for legs (and for some reason everyone wears 32 so the good ones are always out of stock). When I put pants on I have to put a hand down to keep the boxers from riding up. Yesterday my cousin who has chicken legs and also lifts, asked if my legs have always been huge like that. Too bad girls don't pay nearly as much attention as fellow lifters do to legs.

I don't know...my wife looks at legs, and she assures me that women in general like legs more than chest & arms.

Just live with it an complain about the pants. I can't find regular dress pants that fit, I have to buy the more casual looking ones or two sizes too big.

Learn to sew and alter your pants, or better yet tell a pretty girl (who can sew) you'll lift heavy things for her if she fixes your pants.

I think the relevant saying has something to do with "the motion of the ocean".

hahah ... yeah, i got the same problem. Even if I buy pants that are one size too big they will still be thight on the quads.

i have that problem with waist and hips - if they fit around my hips, way too big at my waist and if they fit my waist, i can't get them around my hips.

I don't focus on legs. But I do think it looks funny when guys are built in their upper body and not their legs. There's a guy at my gym that has bodybuilder genetics, looks like a bouncer, but only works legs half as much as upper body. He's in the gym alot. I call him chicken legs
