weakening, how?

Ok so I heard about the whole lactic acid build up deal. But how do you get tired otherwise? I mean you don't run out of energy do you, you have all those carbs/fat still on you, so how do you get tired? Or is it all just lactic acid, and is it possible to reduce that somehow?

Ok it is more than lactic acid in fact that is the end result. Basicly your body uses different sources for energy. The basic compound is ATP. This is used on a cellular level. Once your cells have depleted their stores of ATP your body, I believe the liver motabolizes fats and proteins to make more. Now, glycern stores are depleted as well this causes you to get tired.

My bio-chemistry is really rusty others will correct my mistakes.. but lactic acid is the end result of you working your muscles.

It is somewhat complicated and unfortunatly I don't have enough time to explain in detail, but I just used google and found a web page that seemed at first glance to provide the information to your after. Read through the artical and if you still have a simular type of question I will try my best to help you out another time. This should answer your question though.

Muscles

edit: the page talks about a lot of good stuff, but if you only want to know about muscle fatigue then just scroll down about 2/3rds of the page to where it says "Fueling Muscle Contraction".

good reading to ya..

If you flag out, yr intake of energy giving foods are incorrect for your workout needs.
Try upping the complex carbs, pasta, rice, potatoes etc
