Weight question

i weigh myself about 3 times a day and recently (yesterday) i was 177.5 in the morning and 184.5 at night. I was 179 in the morning last week and since then I have only been following a bulking diet. It is a little disheartening to see the weight decrease in the morning when I am eating to gain. Anyone else notice weight differences like this and what could be possible reasons? Is this a sign that I am actually losing muscle?

Dude, get off the damn scale. Eat, sleep, lift, and grow. The scale is useful perhaps once every week or two to help you spot trends. Worthless for minute by minute.

Also should be used first thing in the AM after morning bathroom activities are finished. Do you want to weigh the water you drank all day? Do you want to weigh the bowel contents from the food you ate yesterday?

If you are going to weigh, just do it once a week at the most, and only after the morning SSS or you'll drive yourself nuts worrying about it.

Weighing less in the AM is strickly because of your sleeping fast. Weighing yourself multiple times a day is tough on the moral (mental) aspects and it usually is only related to amount of fluids your body is carrying.

My husband used to play basketball at lunch (2 hrs) and not drink water while playing. He would be five pounds lighter by the end of play. He could then drink at least 64 oz and not go to the bathroom. By bedtime his weight would be back to normal.

Step 2: Eat.

Step 3: Lift

Step 4: Sleep

I don't know if we can come up with another 8 steps. But perhaps the first four will be enough.

Dude, leave the scales alone - has this been said before? lol

Its OK to measure once a week to get an average over time but there are so many factors that contribute to weight changes its better just to leave it. Some good advice up there ^
