What should i do? Should I keep gaining weight or start toning up?

I am 6 feet and inch 1/2 and I weight about 180 pounds. I am 18 Yrs Old

Do you think it is enough now. I have gained 30 pounds since last year and half..... went from 140-180 after takin tons of supplements and eatin like a pig ... i have a big body frame but always been skinny ..

tell me now. should i gain 20 more pounds to my frame and come up to 200 and then start toning and bodybuilding... or should i start losing NOW .....
i mean start toning up now? and when i do then start bulking up again

I had another question if i start running now ... would i get skinny again .. go back and lose ten pounds or so ...i lose weight too easily but its hard to gain back up ... which is why i avoid running at gym ... is this a big mistake

my body frame i would best describe it as big boned.. when i go to the gym should my main goal be toning up or muscle gain..

i really need some help

It really depends on what your goals are and what you'd like to do next.

As for skipping cardio, IMO, it's always a mistake. The heart is the most important muscle of the body and needs to be exercised and strengthened just like all other muscles. Cardio should not cause muscle loss unless you don't eat for it.

What should I do? Should I eat apples or oranges?

Whichever one you want. Have some of both.

i was lookin over my old posts right now .. i came here when i was 15. I was 5'11 and 135 lbs
now after 3 years i am 6'0 and 185 lbs
....
I dont know if Luca Brasi is still here but he was right . after you hit 18 your weight skyrockets and then you are worried about how 2 lose it ..

anyways. tell me should I start toning up and then bulk up again or bulk some more and then start toning up...

I am WAY out of shape now....

If I were you I would focus on starting an exercise program focused on compound lifts plus cardio as least 3 times a week. Your focus should be to gain muscle. The added muscle will boost your metabolism and further help you lose the fat.(I'm assuming that is what you want). So if I had a vote I would say gain muscle then when you are satisfied with where you are at you can focus on implementing increased cardio and a stricter diet to help get your body fat down.

also is it true if i start running or hitting the treadmill for a week staright and then stop and after a week i start hitting it again for a week .. i would lose weight alot but also gain muscle .... and then confuse body to store more calories ....

like glycogen effect: body storing more off it for the next run ...

i don't think 180 is that heavy for a 6 footer thats big boned... i say get up to 200 and cut from there.
