What's the deal with raw eggs?
What's inside of raw eggs that makes them so healthy, or atleast why do some people eat them when body building.
Also, is there anything else that I could eat a lot of to help boost my weight? Or how about some common foods that are loaded with proteins that I should know about?

Raw eggs. Ahhh the age old question. If you aren't afraid of salmonella there is some indication that the protein can be absorbed a bit easier if you eat a lot of raw eggs. In my opinion, the difference isn't worth the risk. Ever had salmonella? I have, it's not pretty.
Good protein sources are chicken, beef, fish, pork, eggs (you can cook them), venison...
More important than protein is getting all the nutrients you need. That means you need protein, carbs, and yes some fat to grow muscles and be healthy. Personally, I like to eat between 16 and 25 calories/lb of bodyweight to grow (wide range, depends on how active I am at the time). I eat those calories in a ratio of P-35%, C-45%, F-20%. Some high intensity trainers who are lifting at maximum intensity every rep need up to 50% of their cals from protein.
Some more reading about food sources:

There are some very thorough discussions here on DF about the pros and cons of raw eggs. I don't have a problem with them, but then I only put them in smoothies and home made mayonnaise. If you have time do a search on the search feature.
According to some, I'm due for a salmonella attack since it's just a matter of time.
The protein in eggs supposedly is more completely absorbed when cooked. Also raw eggs block biotin absorption a small but essential nutrient.

Nope 50% absorption with raw versus 90% cooked then theres the biotin problem mentioned by Brat. You need to heat it sufficiently to denature the avidin ~75 degrees.

Well, there ya go. Cook the eggs. When discussion turns to chemically type things, always go with what maxgain says. That's what I do.

I've read up on this too. Consensus from what I've read is there's a myth out there, and a quack wwith a web site that support raw eggs. Everything else, especially science, goes against it.
One thing about BBer's, a lot of them fall for myths. There still may be guys out there ingesting there own seman based on a myth that it increases testosterone!

Doesn't it also have to do with the amount. For example, eating 8-9 eggs can be tough sometimes. Drinking it however, is simple, fast, and easy....easy in the disgusting, I wanna gag way that is.

Raw eggs have a wonderful flavour when added in certain foods like eggnog, mayonnaise and milkshakes. If you are at all nervous about salmonella or doubt the strength of your immune system then you are probably better off avoiding it. I also would not trust how raw eggs in food are being handled to just anyone.
I eat them from time to time but I have to be the one preparing and storing the food. As far as superior nutrition from raw eggs compared to cooked, as mentioned above, it is not necessarily true.

I have read that the chances of buying a salmonella infected egg are about 1 in 30,000 or so. If it happens, a healthy adult should be able to fight it off ok.
