It is extremely difficult to say when he started to experiment with steroids. It would not surprise me if he was using when he was 18 or 19. They were legal back then and very much in use where weight lifting was concerned.

is it alright if you workout 5 days in a row and take 2 days off for recovery?

It might be alright. It simply depends on how you've structured your workout pattern and style. There would certainly be several ways of doing it right ... and many, many ways of doing it wrong.

On your off days use it when you wake up, and lay off the whey unless you're doing strenuous activity or are mixing it with slower digesting foods. On an off day its better to rely on whole foods unless you plan on mixing the whey so it can stay in your system longer. With a little 100% natural peanut butter, some oats, and some whey...you can make a nice protein bar for a snack.

Yes. This will help assure that you are primed for the following days workout. If you do something strenuous on your day off, take the creatine later in the day. I try and take it at night to keep from burning off any of its effects prematurely.
