working abs while bulking

I read somewhere that it is useless to work your abs or do cardio while bulking.. is this true? I figure that if I develop some muscles in my abs now... even tho some fat might be covering it... by the time I'm cuting... wouldn't it be faster for my abs to show?

Gah, you don't work them so people will see them, you work them so they get bigger/stronger. Both your abs and lower back are your core, without a strong core you're going to have weaker squats, weaker deadlifts, worse posture, etc... just work them out and that way when the fat is off they'll be even more visible.

I agree with Cort. You should always work your abs to help your core.
