better tasting oatmeal recipe

i make this for breakfast alot

ingredients
1 cup steel cut irish oats

1 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar

1/2 cup skim no sugar added chocolate milk (sometimes i use chocolate soy milk also no sugar added)

2 tablespoon sugar free syrup

cinnimon (how much this depends on taste, i use around 3 tablespoons

now this is the important part. the night before you eat them is when you prepare them

take the oats and put them in a microwave safe bowl. add the rest of the ingredients. stir. you may want to add more milk if it seems dry.
put them in your refrigerater over night and by morning all the choc milk will be absorbed and you will have a good consistency with the oatmeal. now microwave till warm.

you can also add raisins. but its best if you wait till the oats are cooked because raisins do heat to well lol

the macro's depend on how much of the ingredients you add or dont add. but it shoudnt be hard to figure out.
well thats it, tell me if you like it

My favorite Oatmeal recipe:

Banana Nut Oatmeal

3 C milk
3 T brown sugar
3/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt
1/4 t ground nutmeg
2 C oatmeal
2 bananas, mashed
2-3 T coarsely chopped pecans

Bring milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt & nutmeg to a gentle boil. Stir in Oats. Return to a boil, reduce heat to med & cook 5 minutes, or until most of liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. When oatmeal is done remove from heat & stir in mashed bananas & pecans.

I usually put way more than 2-3 T pecans

We add a tablespoon of chopped walnuts, 1 T of SugarTwin Br. sugar, 2t cinnamon and 1/4c sugar-free applesauce to cooked oatmeal for a pleasant change.

Rolled vs. Steel cut have a big taste difference with me. For Steel cut I just add salt and a little fake butter, for rolled I ussually add frozen berries (all different types) and a packet of splenda.

Adding a finely chopped apple to it when you cook it or adding apple butter can be really good, if you're in the mood for something appley.
