i tried the recipe subsituting almonds in for honey and adding a bit of extra water to compansate for the lost moisture, and they were AWESOME...like...the perfect bar for when i'm at school and can't make a full meal. Thx Jak, was a big help. ~Scott

Would these bars be a good breakfast source and where else could I fit them in during the day?

I have to agree with Jakanden. The fat in Peanut Butter is very Healthy for you, and buying the reduced fat is only giving you more sugar and less healthy fat. So trust me stay away from the Low-Fat PB.
I have read this on several Bodybuilding websites.

i have created my own recipe. here it is

4c oatmeal
1 c powdered skim milk
4 scoops of whey
8fl oz of no sugar added apple juice
2 egg whites
1 no sugar added applesauce cup
3-4 tbsp's of cinnamon

bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees

i created this recipe myself and it is quite tasty. you can also add some sugar free syrup, more cinnamon, or even some vanilla for better taste.

i make about 15 bars with this recipe, and this is about what they amount to nutritionally per bar:

125 cals
18 g of carbs (all from milk and oatmeal sugars
12-14g of protein
2-3 grams of fiber

you can basically add anything to this recipe extra. some ideas are flaxseed, fiber one cereal, kashi go lean, peanut butter, nuts. the list goes on! enjoy

1 cup Natural peanut butter
8 tablespoons honey
1&1/4 cups whey protein powder
1 cup of uncooked oatmeal
Well I got around to making this yesterday. I didnt have any natural pb so I used some generic stuff.

First thoughts... MAN thats ALOT of honey! Pretty good though, tastes like honey while you eat it, then a hint of pb then *SMACK* nothing but the flavor of honey for a while. I also used all natural honey which I tend to find for potent anyways...

I think Im gonna try less honey and more oats next time. And I will definatly add some almonds or something too!
Thanks for the recipe!:
