The Tuna Formula?

For anyone who might have ever worked at a sub shop or something and prepared tuna, whats is a good formula for making the tuna? I mean # of Cans to # tsp's of Mayo to make the Tuna just perfect.

I mean it is not rocket science... making Tuna, I just wanted to make a big batch of it for the week using a good formula.

Any Suggestions?

That about sums it up. I personally eat my tuna plain (Right out of the can), but sometimes I will add some Bragg's Amino Acid sauce and sautee' it in a pan for a bit.

Well obviously.. see the thing is I ordered Tuna from a sub shop the other day, and it was just different than the Tuna I usually make (well not really, but do you know what I mean?). So it got me thinking, I remember a buddy of mine used to tell me he made Tuna for a sub shop and it was like 10 cans and so much Mayo. Just trying to figure out if anyone could tell how much they would mix to make a week's supply.

btw. Ive read Ender's Game haha good deal.

Sub shops make there tuna daily, not weekly. The Subway I worked at back in the day, didn't anyways. It came pre-packaged, not in cans and was only good for 48 hours.

I didnt mean that they make their's weekly, I would like to make a huge amount of tuna like a subshop and then eat it throughout the week myself :

Out of the can and into a salad of field greens with some tomato and little bit of balsamic vinegrette with a dash of fresh ground pepper usually works.

if you want to make tuna with mayo I suggest 1 tablespoon of mayo to 1 can of tuna and some garlic salt and ground pepper, if you want onion in it about 1/4 medium sized onion finely diced is good. You don't want to drown that yummy protein with fat now do you? :

That sounds about right. Start with your can of tuna....toss it into a bowl, and just start off with one teaspoon of mayo. Mix it up well. If you can tell it needs more to bind together, add a little more.

Chop up some red onion and some celery nice and fine and throw that into the mix too. Salt and pepper. Yum, yum!

Alternately, instead of mayo, drizzle some good olive oil into your tuna. Add a squeeze of lemon juice. Salt and pepper. It's AWESOME, and full of good fat.
