Yes during a cutting phase, unless you eat them before or after the workout. No, if you are bulking.

Gotcha! Thanks again.

By the way, today my smoothie was 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup whey, 3/4 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 banana (1/2 of that recipe - I saved the rest for tomorrow); and it was plenty. Good advice!

I figured it would be valuable to recalculate things and reassess where I am after trying this for the last 3 weeks. I'm concerned about some of my results and would appreciate more advice.

I started at 236 lbs, 18.3% bf, 193 lbs lbm.
I now am at 228 lbs, 17.8% bf, 187 lbs lbm.

I dig the fact that my weight is down and the fat % is down, but isn't that an awful lot of loss of lbm? 6 of the 8 lbs I have lost so far...

If you check my workout log, you can see how I've been exercising / what I ate:

Thanks in advance for the help!

Like others have noted. There is quite a bit of error in calipers. What does the tape measure say when you measure your waist? Now measure your bicep? If the waist is smaller and the bicep the same or bigger, then no worries. If it is the other way around then drop down in your intake.

The only suggestions I can make are reduce your intake more OR spilt your aerobics and weights to different days.
