2 questions about my running.

Okay, if I could get these two questions answered, it would be a great help to me. My first question, does anybody know of an asmtha inhaler that helps out tremendously for runners with asmtha? I can run a mile run in 6 minutes or under, but when I run for 2 or more miles my breathes get very very short and I have to slow down or even walk. Right now I have the Advair inhaler and it is just not cutting it for me. I just want to be able to run distances greater than a mile without my breathing acting up.

My next question is simple, but I just want to hear peoples answers. Do you think that you would burn the same calories if you run 1 mille on a straight road in 6 minutes, or 1 mile on a hilly road in 8.30 minutes?

1st: ask your doctor and or a sports trainer at your local high school I'm sure they deal with athlete's asmtha all the time. I don't know but do you really want to rely on drugs to complete a workout, maybe there's a way to train to reduce the problem naturally.

2nd really depends on your effort and I wouldn't worry about the slight calorie differnce. Hills will build muscle better for sports but are harder on your joints (going down hill). I'd mix it up so you're not passing the same scenary every time.

Your 1st question I have no idea about. I have asthma too, and have just used a normal puffer fine. 2nd one, I think if you ran at the same pace 1mile = 8:30 you would burn more doing the hills than running flat since hills require more effort.
