A burger for breakfast?
A good exercise training program will periodically change the workout to keep the muscles guessing. There's nothing like a new program to give the muscles a jolt of shock, create some new DOMS, etc.
What about eating? A hamburger for breakfast. Ham and eggs for dinner. Eat your dessert first and your salad last. Etc., etc.
Periodically I will eat breakfast for dinner. This morning I ate some leftovers, a ravioli dish, for a late breakfast. Normally, I generally eat breakfast for breakfast, lunch for lunch, and dinner for dinner.
What about you? What do you think about mixing it up ocassionally? Does this keep our digestion system guessing and contribute to keeping our metabolism stoked?

I always kinda thought about the "dinner for breakfast" theory. This is mainly cause when you wake up, your body is going to make good use of about anything you put in your system, allowing you to be a little less strict about some sugar, fat, or some extra calories. I think keeping your body guessing can keep the metabolism going strong, but may have an impact on your... uhh... regularity.

imo, there's no such thing as "breakfast food" - if you can eat it for dinner, you can eat it for breakfast.
the brits have a saying: "break fast like a king, lunch like a merchant, and dine like a pauper". hence, their infamous breakfast buffet loaded with things like coddled eggs, steaks, kippers, oatmeal, and all kinds of fun stuff.

The American breakfast is just a cultural thing. I've seen about everything served for breakfast so the moral to the story is eat whatever you like. In Holland, for example, breakfast is usually a slice or two of cold meat (rare roast beef or ham) with slices of young cheese served open-faced on a slice of bread. I do a vegetarian version of the Dutch breakfast with soy protein meat slices and soy cheese and some sweet-hot bread & butter chip pickles on the side. My personal favorite breakfasts is OJ, vegetarian sushi with wasabi paste and soy sauce with picked ginger, and servings of baked beans and potatoes with onions. The wasabi paste mixed with soy sauce really wakes me up! Sometimes I have a salad for breakfast. Today was oatmeal mixed with trail mix and soy milk. What's also very good is to take some oatmeal the night before and mix in soy milk, some fruit/nut trail mix and some fresh apple pieces and let it sit covered overnight. It's fabulous in the morning! The Swiss original version of this made with oatmeal, hazelnuts, fresh apples, milk, honey and yogurt.
