Question

Anybody ever get suckered into some oldtime WEIGHTGAINER?

you know it's funny.

i was at my parents the other night going through some old things and I found a big tub of some twinlab "super-duper weight gainer blah blah" crap! you know, the first stuff you got suckered into buying at GNC when you were a total newb. it's hillarious because they post this GIANT "FAT FREE" label on the front....

folks - one scoop of this crap was 2300+ calories. now that is just f#$%^n' retarded! and of course the counter idiot always tells you....it's alot of calories so you have to LIFT HARD!!! B.S....... you burn way more calories in cardio than in weights and hardly anybody would burn that much in a supercharged cardio workout. god no WONDER i was having so much trouble lifting and getting my abs out at the same time back in the day!

i know a good amount of people who have thought that weight gainer helped them so i can't really say its crap. its a good way to get calories if you have a hard time eating a lot.

Back in the mid '80's, I knew a girl who looked anorexic, although she ate regularly. She took some Weieder weight gainer -- a scoop a day until it ran out. She put on five pounds! Then, she couldn't afford any more, and the five pounds droped off in a week. Super high metabolism, I guess!

And you have to understand that there are alot of people out there like that, with extremely high matoblisms, that can eat that many calories, and still stay cut, size pack abs, defined arms, cut chest, all that jazz...the lucky bastards.

But stuff like weight gainer is the only way that can gain any mass if they want to get bigger, simply because trying to eat that much is next to impossible these days with as busy as everyone is all the time.
