I use fitday (website) and like it very much. The custom food option is usually the route I go. Their databas is usually off. Also, I've determined my caloric intake for weight maintenance to be 2100 calories, and fitday says it should be 2300 - 2400. Finally, their "Activities" option is very limited, and I think inaccurate.

Regardless of what I believe to be its shortcomings, fitday is still invaluable to me. I'd hate to have to go without it.

Look for natural, healthy fats. The Essential fats, not the trans fats and saturated fats.

I disagree with that. You are already getting 25% fat in your diet. Ice cream is usually all saturated fats. I would seriously rethink that idea. Welch may have had good results with the atkins kind of approach but I don't think it is a healthy approach.

I was just kidding around. I'm going to stay clear of my buddies ben and jerry for as long as I can possibly stand -- maybe I will splurge for my birthday next month.

Sure it is, done the way I did it. I didn't actually just "do Atkins". I got the idea from Dr. Atkins, then I used my medical background, took the reccomendations often made to DM2 patients for controlling their blood sugar (just those who have a tendency to stay too high). Took my lessons about endocrinology from paramedic and nursing school, applied those to my nutrition plan and voila - lost 160lbs of fat in a year while adding some muscle at the same time. Even more since then. I'm now up to 195lb at appx 10% bodyfat. Cholesterol is perfect, all DM2 symptoms are now gone, cardiac risk markers are all now normal. Trust me on this, although it isn't the mainstream - eat super low fat all the time dogma...it IS healthy for certain conditions and in certain situations. BTW, now that I'm eating the higher carb, low fat way right now, meaning 12-13% of my diet is fat, 3-4% of it is saturated fat, my cholesterol is slowly sneaking back up again - not bad yet, but it isn't as good as it was recently.

However, based on what I saw in her post reference her diet...that wasn't what I reccomended. This is what I said.

Yeah, see I cut all of that part out and left only the part that I wanted to hear. I have a bad habit of doing that.

160 lbs in one year OMG down to 10 %bf. If i see you calling yourself fat again I am getting on a plane hunting you and punching you then legging it before you get me

There is no problem getting typically up to 35% fats in your diet as long as they are the right kinds.

On another note 17-34 cals for sex what are ye doing i need to stop for weightgainers with all i expend

Maxgain, after 1 year, I was actually 170-175lb at more like 15% BF. The 6-10% (depending on the method used to calculate it so I just go with 10) was a year after that.

You guys are missing the best part about sex if all you care about is the amount of caloires you expend! Remember, moderation! Even moderation in moderation!
