Anyone have a FitDay account?

I was just wondering if anyone else in here had a fitday account www.fitday.com and if so....do you find it helpful? I love being able to find out the nutritional value of all different kinds of foods in any portion. It also has a place where you can find out how many calories certain exercises burn (though it is probably VERY general).

I do have one problem with it, however. I entered in (and I don't mean to brag ) 30 minutes of vigorous sexual activity, and it said I'd burn like 17 calories.

I have the PC version of FitDay, i find it way better and easier to manage then the web version. It is worth the purchase or for you gurus who know where to look can get it free... But really you should pay for it..

The Pc version states 30 mins of vigours sexual activity is 64 Calories

So...if I buy the pc version I burn more calories for sex? That might persuade me to have sex in the first place...

I just started my fitday journal a little over a week ago:

If you guys have any suggestions on my diet and exercise, I'm open.

If you are only burning 17-64 calories, you are doing something wrong. And what's with the half a$$ workouts - go for an hour.

And yes fitday is very useful for tracking nutrition. I don't use it to keep track of my activities.

I find the custom foods option very useful as some of their numbers aren't always quite right. Also, I rarely put in what I eat each day, but when I make a new recipe, I'll put all the ingredients in one day and that lets me divide it into how many calories there are per serving and the macro nutrient breakdown etc...

Eat more protein. You are barely getting close to enough (~100 grams). Drop some fat or carbs to make up the difference in calories.

If I take it slow in the sack, will I burn more calories since I am going longer? When I'm "vigorous" I can only go about 30 minutes. My wife is too hot

Get an ugly mistress.

Seriously, I don't think usual activities of daily living should be counted as cardio anyway. Just keep track of your weight training and specific work aimed at cardiovascular fitness. Plus what you eat and drink.

I know, I need to drop my % of fat calories. It's so hard because fat is in almost everything except fruits and vegetables...and you have to eat ALOT of those to make up any calories at all.

Jolene, don't sweat the fat so much. Eat your meats if you like them. Choose leaner cuts most of the time - things like chicken and fish are good choices - remove the skin from the chicken and you've gotten rid of most of the fat. Try to get healthier fats most of the time - Don't forget that some fat is necessary for survival and good health.
