Best ways to get started

Hello everyone
Im a new poster here and Iwanted to get some input on the best ways to get started with working out.
Im 24 years old and 5'9. A little over a year ago I weighed 210. I decided i was going to change the way I eat and lose some weight. I lost over 40 pounds and i have been at about 165-170 for the past 3 or 4 months.I still carry alot of extra weight in my midsection and i was wondering what would be the best way for me to get started building a better body would be. My new roommate has and Bowflex and uses supplements like creatine and protien daily, he says i should take protien too but I wanted to get some imput from some people who really know what they are talking about
Thanks in advance
Ryan

Congratulations on your success at fat-loss RyanOMac.

The first thing that I would recommend would be to do an evaluation of your eating habits. Write down everything that you eat for a couple of days—include both food descriptions and quantities. There are books, programs, and websites available that will provide you with nutritional lookup values. Apply the information to your food log and tabulate how much you eat. Once that's done, you can start to intelligently modify your nutrition plan to optimize your future health.
