Question

breakfast cereals

Is there any good cereal to eat instead of oatmeal and bran cereal.I like bran cereals because of the fiber and carbs but I dont want to die from bran cereals, other posts here say it will kill you,is there any thing that tastes better than oatmeal?

Fruit and Fiber ... it's so good, you'll forget the fiber.

When I don't have oatmeal I go for:

All bran
Kashi Go Lean (the better kind with more fiber and less sugar)
Flax Plus

Bran Flakes are good too.

The idea is to go for a high fiber cereal and around 5 or less grams of sugar.
The 3 kinds I just said are exceptionnal!
They have like 10g of fiber, Kashi has 8g of protein and 10g of fiber.

No its not i think somone may have said bran decreases your calcium absorbtion which could lead to osteoporosis, but i have never heard of that being proven, so no.

For me, the best breakfast food is the one that keeps me from being hungry longest for a given number of calories. Granola, Wheaties, Kashi Go Lean, and most other boxed cereals eaten with milk just don't compare in this respect to oatmeal or multigrain cooked cereals.

Thats why I go Kashi Good Friends - I usually eat 2 servings so thats 16g of fiber. Anything high in fiber will slow the insulin release as well as digestion and make you full longer =)
