butter spray


is butter spray ok? i mean i know that the nutritional facts are all zero's. but the stuff is made with soybean oil. so theres gotta be something in it. the reason i ask is because i use alot of it. the kind i use is parkay butter spray

it's all zeros cuz each serving size is miniscule, but you can bet its 100% fat.

The serving size, if you read the fine print, is about a 1/3 second spritz. That ain't much! Ounce for ounce, it's the same as regular oil. I use cooking oil sprays a lot because it is easy to apply a very small amount to what I'm cooking. Use too much and you lose the advantage and it is certainly no longer "fat free."

BTW: The term "fat free" simply means it has less than 0.5 grams of fat per serving. It can have .49 grams per serving and be legally fat free by definition.

Like gearloose and the label says it's pretty much the same as soybean oil, which isn't the devil but not great.
BUT a few sprays (10 servings LOL) fully "butters" a piece of toast, bagel etc. and is probably less than a gram of material/fat. I use it a fair amount.
