Ice cream has almost no nutritional values, is almost made completely out of sugar so it deffinetely wouldnt help you gain muscle... dont see how it could help you lose fat either since it is very high in carbs that arn't too healthy for you. Maybe an all natural ice cream type thing such as frozen yohgurt, that would be better.

On the other hand, if treats don't get out of hand then they will not kill you. If we're talking ice cream every day then it will probably hinder your progress, but if you're talking about a planned treat once in a while you can probably work it into your diet without much of a setback.

I agree with what has been posted so far. Since I've been an ice-cream-aholic in the past, I almost never have the product in my house—I just have a tough time putting the lid back on the tub (...ah, just one more spoonful...)

I LOVE Icecream!

But due to the higher fat in ice cream I have been eating gobs of sherbet! High in sugar but at least it doesn;t have any fat. I miss the choclate and the marshmellow topping I used to add to my ice cream!

Hmmmm . .choclate marshmellow!

High in sugar is just as bad and in some cases worse than high in Fat due to major insulin release =)
