cardio question

i've been doing cardio and weight lifting for one month now. i've lost total of 4 lbs. my question is, i wanna lose more weights, so my next goal is another 5 lbs by thanksgiving. is it possible to reach that goal? i've been eating really clean, i've cutting out fried food which used to be my fav. i'm eatin a lot of greens and fruits. i've been gettin a lot of good suggestions on this website.
but i want to know one question, should i lift before i do cardio or should i do the opposite? i'm doing cardio 5x a week and weight lifting 3x a week. my main goal is to lose weight.

one more question, i've read on the cereal label that saids replacing two meals a day with cereal for 2 weeks, you'll lose 10 lbs...is it true or what you guys think of it? any feedback would be great thanx

This link talks about the cardio before lifting/lifting before cardio thing.

Thow the cereal replacing two meals a day out the window. You sacrifice other nutrients you need throughout the day not to mention the fact that for most people, cereal twice a day would get old. You need a variety of foods.

Honestly (and I'm sure I'll get crucified for this), if you want to lose five pounds by Thanksgiving, do more cardio than lifting. I would lift heavy six days a week but also do cardio six days a week. I would also do one in the mornings and one in the evenings.

The key to reaching your goal is eating clean (for the most part...don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon for a day) and activity. And I mean a lot of activity. Running, playing basketball, football, soccer, going for a walk, cutting grass, cleaning house...I'm sure you get the picture. ANYTHING to burn calories. But also make sure you drink a minimum of 1/2 gallon of water each day and get plenty of sleep. Eight hours works for me. A little less or little more may work for you. With an increase in activity, you'll need your rest.
