Problem there is it can still be relatively inaccurate. If your weight fluctuates by even a pound over the period of one day you know that nowhere near all of it could possibly be fat unless you were grossly over-eating. It might even be that none of it was. I see people all the time who go "oh no! I gained 3 lbs in 24 hours, aaaahhh!!!!"
Once a week, or even once every two weeks, is more accurate because it allows time to pass to see a consistent change in one direction or another. Recording it daily wont really hurt, but it just isn't an accurate gauge of immediate results. You could, however, easily record your weight daily and then after a month take a look at the pattern that developed and provide yourself with some very clear results.
