You can use powdered sugar or confectioners sugar if you can't find the dextrose. Yeah, it is plain old sugar in a real fine format for quick dissolving.

Around here you can get dextrose/maltodextrin tablets at the pharmacy. You have to ask at the counter but they are none prescription. Because they are used by diabetics many pharmacies don't charge sales tax on them. I pay a $1 for a stick of 12 tabs (47 grams). Lemon or orange flavoured.

Its not just plain old sugar in a finer format...Dextrose is straight glucose while regular table sugar is Sucrose which is made of Fructose and Glucose. Sucrose has to be broken down by the body into a simpiler form, where Glucose is already broken down to the simpliest form. Dont use regular sugar postworkout unless you dont care about how long it takes for your body to convert it all over...id stick to dextrose(glucose). You can find Dextrose and maltodextrin at www.1fast400.com, Dpsnutrition.com, this site that goes by the name of butcher and packer.

All forms of sugar are turned into glucose in order to be used by the body for metabolism. The time that it takes simply varies from one type of sugar to the next.

Smarties main ingredients consist of: Dextrose, Citric Acid, Calcium Sterate, Artificial Flavors and Colors.
All the sugar in them is dextrose.
I don't think the sugar you use matters THAT much though, as others have said.

1Fast400 is a great place, I've bought from their before, but a friendly reminder that there are no price advertizing on the public forums. Keep it in PM's if someones interested.

all i gotta say is im not knocking trueproteins other products but they over charge for their sugars thats for sure. This person was asking about sugars not protein. They may have good quality protein i have no idea. BTW do you happen to work for them? Just wondering because your signature sounds like an ad that they would put out.

ok, their sugar is a few bucks more than 1fast400 after you order a couple pounds....considering the quality of their products and the price of their other products, no, that doesnt make them a rip off. You cant have the cheapest and best quality EVERYTHING.
And no i dont work for them, im just giving out my discount code.

Dude just settle down i was just making the statement for the person who plans to buy sugars that there are other "MORE AFFORDABLE" places to buy the sugar. In regards to their whey i know of places that sell better quality protein than TP.com but thats a different story and for another discussion. Just take a breath settle down and stop acting like your the CEO of trueprotein.com
