Diet needs work!

Hi, I'm not so sure my diet is perfect yet, so I'd like to make some adjustments...I'm a long time atkins dieter, so when your used to that for so long, ya kinda get brainwashed about carbs, and I admit, they scare me! But I'm trying to reintroduce them back into my diet:

Meal 1:
1 1 cup of Kashi go lean w/ soy milk or
scrambled egg whites w/ tomato

Meal 2:
1/2 cup cottage cheese w/ 1/2 banana

Meal 3:
Can of Tuna w/ side salad or
Chicken

Gym

Meal 5:
Protein shake

Meal 6:
Steak w/ spinach or broccoli

I don't eat the exact same things every day of course, but this is basically it. Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance!

what is the calorie total and macronutrient profile of your diet - that looks way too little to me.

i have no idea - i don't know how much you're eating.

keep track of the amounts and plug them into www.fitday.com - that'll give you an idea.

at your height and weight, i'd try to stick in the 1500 - 1800 calorie range. you might find you get best results by zigzagging - go 1500 one day, 1800 the next. that will prevent your metabolism from finding a set point and allow more or less steady results, depending on how much cardio and weights you're doing.
