What I notice is most people who drink Diet drinks are fat. Could be a number of reason for it but I say if you want to reduce your calories drink water.

I dont trust artificial sweeteners anyway, havent they been linked to brain cancer and other stuff?

Like you intoned, correlation does not indicate causation.

no, but the study clearly shows a link, even if they haven't yet determined what that link is.

until they do, i think i'm just gonna avoid the stuff like the plague cause you *just never know* any more.

I personally feel diet soda dehydrates your body which people mistake for hunger and eat. The calories sucked in are'nt the best of choices which I believe cause FAT to get stored.

something funny and a little contradicting I found again:

there's a link that says "watch this video", almost the same as text, its funny!

i notice when i drink diet soda it makes me more thirsty\

lets say i am a water person i am ussally drinking water so i will have a glass of some diet soda by its self and after i will want some water

another case is diet soda goes great with my meals when i have a nice meal a diet soda is a great thing to have other than water

im still skeptical because for every study showing there is there are other stuides showing that it isnt
