do i count fruit and veg?

I;ve tried searching but no luck, if i missed it sorry to ask the question again.

So im working out my diet, but im wondering do i count the nutritional content of fruit and veg? or can i pretty much eat as much as i like? i love apples and bananas and i can eat them all day i'd hate to have to restrict my consumption.......

Cheers
Ed

Yes, everything you eat should count. If you're restricting calories, it's really hard to eat too many calories in fruits and veggies. Compare 200 cals of chocolate cake to 200 cals of broccoli and you'll see what I mean.

yes of course, if it goes in your mouth you count it!

you may be able to get away with not counting brocolli or other leafy greens but bananas & apples usually come in at 80-120 calories a peice... so yeah you better count them!

good luck!

Well, green leafy vegetables, IMO, you should be able to eat as much as you possibly want of and generally not have to worry about it.

Most other fruits and vegetables, though, can have significant amounts of calories and sugar. Do some research on the ones you are eating. Things like corn and carrots actually have a good bit of sugar. Most fruits have a good maount of calories in them, definitely NOT negligible.

Right! Eat all the romaine lettuce and cucumbers you want, but count those sugars for sure.
