Does yogurt actually burn fat?

Hey all, I've been hearing this deal that adding yogurt to your diet actually helps BURN fat. I don't see how a certain food could help burn off fat, is there any truth to this or is it a complete myth?

Dairy products in general help burn fat. It's the calcium that is supposed to make the difference.

YES! I firmly believe that 3 low fat milk products a day help with fat loss. I don't know if it is the calcuim, the protein, or the Conjugated Linoleic Acid.

I also have been hearing on the news that whatever it is in dairy, helps to burn fat, regardless of whatever sugars or fat may be in it. I personally live on non-fat milk and go through 2 gallons a week right now, in the offseason, 4.

i drink a lot of milk as well, but i'm starting to get a calcium deposit on my face. its just like a white head, not red or anything, but its white and it holds calcium in it because i am consuming too much of it.

at least thats what the doctor said.....

okay, that just sounds freaky. check the lump: calcium is a mineral, therefore the lump should feel like a rock under your skin. if it's the same thing i have, then it's called a "sebaceous cyst" and hasn't anything to do with milk and everything to do with an enclosed buildup of yuck. if it were open to the air, it'd be a blackhead.

Well, according to another post in this same section, Lift2Live, you should be dead by now. According to nature, milk is meant only for infants of the same species, lol.

You are a complete moron...I know people who smoke 2 packs of cigarettes per day...Oh WAIT A SECOND!! By sooner_ed's logic...smoking is GOOD for you!!

Everybody take up smoking now!!
By sooner_ed's thinking...apparently, if it is bad for you it will kill you right away...therefor if it doesn't kill you immediately, it must be good for you...

Please sooner_ed...have someone read some medical journals to you...please...

<scratching head>

pretty sad when you have to resort to specious arguments and polemics instead of actual facts and statistics.

Actually, he was just making a joke from another thread in which I did get and thought was funny. It made me chuckle and I don't really see the need for such seriousness as yours carcajou. Sometimes, a joke is just a joke...

...well, he was 'joking' about a statement that I made...and he may be 'joking' but he believes it...now THAT's funny.
