Evaluate my diet
hey i was just hoping for some input on my diet right now i am trying to gain as much muscle mass as i can then i am going to cut in the summer
i am not sure if this is important but these are my stats
150lbs
5'11
age 15
male
breakfast: protein shake, Mamoth2500, greens +, Udens oil, fruit, and juice
here is a link to greens plus if you don't know what it is and Udens oil is just like flax oil
http://www.health-n-energy.com/greens.htm
during school: karats, pear, apple, orange, 2 trial mix bars: 2.7g protein, f.1g fat, 25g carbs, 143 cal, 1.5 liters of water
before workout: 5 gram Xtream creatine
after workout: 5 gram Xtream creatine, and bio protien bar 21g protein, 7g fat, 43g carbs, 320 cal
dinner: this is the variable i dunno what i am going to have usually like tofu burger, or veggie chili, my family is vegetarian so it is usually something like that
before bed i have a just a protein shake without the greens and the Udens oil
so for bodybuilding is there anything i should add to this thanks all!

It is too hard to tell about your diet because quantities or calories are not listed, but my guess is you are not eating enough. What is Mamoth2500? At 15 you are still growing so your metabolism is probably quite high. You probably need 2X what you have listed. Also you need some complex carbs before that workout.

I went to a Web site with a calorie calculator and figured out what your daily caloric maintenance should be (calories you need to take in to maintain your current weight). Not sure if you are a man or woman, so here are both calculations.
If you are male: 2,700
If you area female: 2,319
There you have it. If you want to add size, you'll need to increase that by a couple hundred cals a day. Vice-versa if you want to lose weight.
Seems to me you are not getting close to that with your diet (unless you are eating 6-8 of those trail mix bars a day -- not a good idea in any case).

Wait, so did you calculate according to his age, weight, height, and bodyfat?
Just kind of stunned me there for a second, because obviously not all males and females have the same maintenace calorie requirement..

The calculator I used asks for age, weight, height (all supplied in the post) and level of activity (I surmised he is at least moderately active since he is posting on this board).
I imagine there are more detailed and accurate models out there, but this should give him at least a rough idea how much he should be eating.

here is a link
http://www.interactivenutrition.com/...ammoth2500.php
and so i should add complex carbs to my diet like what i workout right after school so it would have to be domething in a bar form or something easy like that....

To gain you just need to eat, eat, eat and Lift, lift, lift.
I would toss the Mammoth in the trash - it is all cheap crap sugar carbs. To gain mass you need QUALITY carbs.
What is wrong with eating an apple and a PB sandwich on the way home from school before that workout? Better than any crap bars.

Son at 15 you are at a good age to start building as all the chemicals are right in the body to grow.
Advice is simple, Eat lots of wholesome prot packed foods and lift like a crane.
Big heavy basic compound moves, not silly isolation stuff, That is for when you rip up and chisel the core of bulk to a refined model.
Make every workout get heavier and heavier and you will grow

hi, im also at a similar age as you and the thing that makes me bulk up is a high protein diet, you halfto eat plenty of meat and fish for protein and take a protein shake with every dinner but you must also include some fruit and veg to maintain the physique, 30mins before you exercise take creatine and after you finish have another pint of creatine. every time you exercise the weights must get heavier and heavier therefore making your muscles grow bigger and bigger. good luck
