Yeah, the online version is completely free. For a pretty reasonable price you can also pick up their standalone version which is also really nice.

I used the free website for about a year and then switched over to the standalone software and really like both.

That's a thread I started back when I first started playing around with the standalone version. That was a little over a year ago though so I have no idea whether any of the features I list as new have been incorporated into the web version.

I'm reasonably certain the 'don't have to wait for pages to load' thing still stands though and honestly, I think that alone was worth the twenty bucks.

I've considered getting the software but I've become accustomed to entering my data through-out the day. With a high-speed connection both at work and at home, it is no effort to just log in and enter a meal.
