Fitday

I've seen it mentioned on this site often. Never bothered to check it out. I just eat as planned, write everything down, then look for values and total up calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates at the end of the day.

Finally this morning, I saw 3N's reply to someone recommending it and decided to check it out.

Pretty good thing so far. Keeps a running total of everything if you add it in as you eat it. Gives a cute little pie chart showing your percentages of what you've taken in. So far the nutrition values seem accurate for the foods I've entered.

For those who haven't bothered to check it out yet - it's worth a look. Definitely a time saver.

Yep, every now and then you'll hit a goofy one that makes you do something of a double-take but the bulk of their data seems to be an item-for-item import of the FDA's online database. And it's really easy (though they don't let you specifically track sugar, which is a little odd) to enter label info for custom items too.

But yeah, I've been using it for a little over two years now (the online version for a year and the standalone software package for another) and I really like it.
