Food delivery and planning services

Anyone have any experience with nutrisystem or ediets.com? They look like a good way for beginners to get started.

e-diets is too simple but is good to gain a general understanding of nutrition. Nutrisystems seems pricey to me. I would recommend Weight Watchers because they have a support system that can help you gain the understanding you need.

There is always the self-taught route. Simply cut out all sweets, sugars, snacks, crackers, sodas, candy and replace them with veggies. Ask lots of questions on boards like this.

You know that is the first thing most diets and diet supplement plans will tell you no matter whether you are low carbing or south beaching.

Most people who are abusing portion control of these non essentials will see a difference in the first 10 days if they cut out these foods and replace some or all of the calories in them with foods of value.

That's why they can all claim that you will lose weight in 10 days. Most of that stuff is carbohydrate therefore you lose the water in your system used to process that high of a %. The real question is what is "the diet" doing for you a year from now. It is realistic as a long term lifestyle or is the transition to maitenance even addressed?
