Gains a Pain!!!
Boy I do get fed up with trying to bulk up at times. My weight goes up and down more times than a kangaroo. I went from last Nov from 104kg to 100-101kg, now I weighed myself today and I'm 97.4kg. What the hell is going on?? Any suggestions??

Easy job
: darklord i have sim prob but i gain easy its ripping up i have trouble with.
But to bulk up its a matter of you are what you eat.
If you dont supply the tissue with blocks to repair muscle, you shrink.
If you find it hard to eat plenty try
1 pint skimmed milk
6 raw eggs
1 banana
scoop of ice cream
Blend to thick shake like frothy drink
Chill in fridge and drink a glass every hr and with you normal food intake this will boost muscle growth.
Use drink as much as you like untill you see 2lb gain per week and you will be on the right path, This worked for me but some will disagree but remember we are all different so try it and see.
Good luck :

Are you any bigger than before? Maybe it's just fat loss and you have gotten bigger.
You could also try eating a lot more. That was my problem.

Funny you should mention that Mr VW because I've noticed that my delts and arms are looking a bit more defined but most of the bulk has probably gone from waistline. This could have been just too many carbs last without sufficient protein to balance it out.

Inho -surely u know by now the other mans grass is always greener
When u are hungry u would love more food, when u are stuffed all the time the last thing u want is more food lol.
DarkLord - more food of course is your solution. In liquid form as bodyshop suggests will probably be easier (though i dont like the idea of raw eggs!!)

good call, this might not do anything now, but after several thousand of these you will get salmonella. see some guys who have been drinking raw egg (whites) for 10+years what happens. and then you'll be so sick for weeks you'll lose alot of that "flashy" muscle.

Hi Inho, my height is 6ft 6" and would love to get to 19 or 20 stone of solid muscle. My mother doesn't like this at all as she tells me that finding clothes would be a pain. I want to fullfill my dream of size increase. With the meals though, are how many calories per six meals should you take in?

However much you're eating now + 250-500 cals. Keep adding more every 2 weeks or so until you see some gain.

Eggs
If you 1st put the raw eggs in boiling water for about 10 seconds it will kill salamella but leave the protien soft and the egg raw enough to make a shake with :

if u truly cant gain weight heres a few good news.
if u do gain weight, it'll probably be solid hard muscle. (that is, if u continue lifting)
in your case, eat about 500 calories a meal.
eat 7 meals a day.
lets see 7 x 500 = 3500, oh! perfect.
eat this amount for a week and notice ur weight at the end of the week.
did u gain weight? no? if not, add an extra 500 calories (separated evenly with your 7 meals)
do it for a week, what happened to your weight?
keep adding 500 cals until u start gaining weight
good luck!

From what I understand, you are bound to gain at least some bodyfat from bulking up. This is a statement from Anthony Ellis and I do believe he's right! That's why so many off season competitors a bulky and less defined than on season competitors.

Yep, you prolly will gain a bit of fat from "bulking up", but it's not a huge deal...take it all in stride and just keep things under control. It's nothing that can't be stripped off later down the road, just be smart with your diet.
