Question

General question *

Whats up guys.

i been working out for about a month using a 3 day a week work out, just trying to learn the exersizes and general strength gains. Im ready to move on to my real workout and i have a question about my neutition

Im about 134 pounds and 5'7-5'8.. im 16 years old (17 in June)

As car as eating right i have a very good diet wich consists of 3 big meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Im taking protein shakes starting next week when i start my new full workout

the question is do i really need to change my diet in order to put on decent amount of weight as well as muscle and strength increase?

* this might be a stupid question but im pretty new to this and id rather do it the right way then hurting myself

I would do some searches on the board. The general advice given (and I think it's good!) is to eat about 5 balanced meals a day. I think you have the basis down but eating a large amount 3 times a day doens;t actually help your metabolism trying eating smaller portions over longer periods of times.

Just my .02$, good luck!

I second that. I don't each all that much a one time, but make up for it by eating many times throughout the day. According to what we learned in HS health the closer to a constant intake flow of nutrition you can get the better.

Eat every 2-3 hours; 6-8 smaller meals a day to accelerate your metabolism. For more detailed explanations do a search, their has been ALOT of info on that subject.
