Something that occurred to me lately...
In the MRP's and Protein Bars that do have substantial (>20g carbs), are these typically high
glycemic carbs, or are they a little lower?
I try to limit my MRP (Myoplex Deluxe) to only my post-
workout shakes, and I only have the Protein Bars (Zone Perfect or MetRx Protein Plus) when absolutely necessary to avoid missing a scheduled meal. But I was wondering whether the carbs in these choices are insulin rockets, or are they a more slowly absorbing variety?
If they are high glycemic, I will focus even more on keeping the use of these nutrients close to my workouts.
Any information would be appreciated.
