Good place to start?

There is such an overwhelming amount of knowlege here that im not exactly sure where to begin. I want to get more serious in my training and I know that nutrition is going to be a major part of it. Im not trying to become huge so do I really need 1g - 1pound of weight? 200g of protein seems a bit much to me, atleast when starting a training regimen. Or should I just dive in?

I would start with the food logging exercise. That is where you write down everything, both amount and at what time, you eat. Do this for 4 days and hopefully one of those is a weekend day. Then you go back and add up all of the protein, carbs, fat & fiber that are contained in those meals. This is where you are ENLIGHTENED by what you are intaking. Then you start to investigate what could I eat instead of that. This is the MOST important exercise to fully understanding your nutritional needs.

If you have trouble adding all of that up - ask questions we can guide you in the right direction.

Thank you! I'm going to give that a try and see where I stand. Thanks again.
