Question

High KCals But Low in Fat?

i need to renew my lifeguard qualification pretty soon so i need to attend a week of intense training again. i will be doing like 4 hrs of swimming a day for 5 days and i will be consuming a lot of cals. i don't want to lose much mass during this period so i need to keep eating. what food do you recommend to have during this period where you can just buy it in a local supermarket (not supplements) as a snack when i can eat it throughout the day but yet not too full for swimming(too full would make me cramp!)

thanks!

just off the top of my head: peanut butter, oatmeal, bananas, potatoes, any "whole" bread.

EDIT: peanut butter is high in fat but don't worry about it. you'll probably be burning 2000+ extra calories (more than 1/2 lb of fat) a day from all that swimming

Just regular foods (see board). experiment for what sits well in your stomach for instance preworkout Peanut butter and jam on whole wheat doesn't work it gets heavy, however bananas and chicken (1/2 breast) sit well even when doing abs.
