Those ones are probably rancid. Nuts and seeds get really bitter and funky tasting when they go bad.I love sunflowerseeds. Unshelled raw ones are really good.

Peanuts are not really nuts. They are legumes (seeds in a pod).

probly were rancid - we don't get the freshest produce in northern ontario unless we grow it ourselves.
