How bad are nuts
I know that some nuts are better than others. Which ones should I avoid? I like cashews, but, more than I likely, I should avoid those.
Thanks
William

Aside from being very dense calorically cashews are just fine. Healthwise they're very similar to peanuts and almonds.

Raw unsalted nuts are your best choice, whether cashews, peanuts, almonds, etc..
After adjusting to a new diet over a year ago, I discovered I love raw unsalted almonds. Very healthy.

They're full of good fats and are a fine diet choice if eaten in moderation. I gobble about 2-4 ounces of nuts a day, mostly walnuts, almonds and cashews.

Don't forget seeds too!
Sunflower seed, pepitas (raw pumpkin seeds) and sesame seeds are excellent choices.

the only nuts you should avoid are the ones that come on two legs.

I am offended by this comment. WE(Guys) don't really care if you are a lesbian, the question was fitness related.

Nuts are very good for you but watch out for going over the top in excessive amounts all things are only good in moderation
Almonds are source of cyanide which if taken for long period time can cause neurological defects 5 bitter almonds will kill a child.
Peanuts are highly allergent which can cause leaky gut allowing allergens and mutagens to get absorbed into blood that shouldnt be there also a source of aflatoxin and contain large lectin amounts which agglutinate red blood cells.

take a bloody pill: "nuts" come in both genders, but it's nice to hear that every single person you've ever met has been sane, sober, and normal.
get a sense of humour, willya?

Well i have a sense of humor, but i was just stating that if you want to take the time to post, post things that are on topic. Do you have NOTHING better to do but type on a Fitness forum? See, you made me type like 200 characters in a post that is totally worthless.

Frankly, JKDman, threenorns' post didn't necessarily have anything to do with testicles. Read it again and ask yourself if she might well have been referring to people who are whacko, crazy, out of their mind, insane, foolish, idiotic, feeble-minded, etc. That's how I read it.

It was all in fun, but that's how i took it. It is a fitness forum. I really didn't think she had to reference a nut post that way LOL. Anyways back to browsing this awesome forum!
Thanks Cursor for your input as usual.
