How do I get rid of this GAS???

hello all,

a dozen egg whites, a cup of baked beans, and everything else i take in throughout the day - by 3pm, my gas is kicking.. pretty embarassing when i get to the gym around 6pm and i can't help but let one rip with every stride on the treadmill...

is there anything to subdue the gas with everything i'm eating?? or is it just par for the course?

Try Gas-X or Beano.

Beano has an enzyme that controls gas from the digestion of beans. Gas-X is "general purpose".....

Gas can be used to your advantage in the gym, though- don't overlook that!!! When all the benches are full and you need to use one ASAP, just go over to the bench area and let 'em rip.

You'll be benching (without a crowd) in no time. Works at the squat rack also (or any other piece of gym equipment for that matter).

Happens to all of us heh. I still have bouts with gas on some days (Usually the day after a high fiber day), but over time my body has gotton used to my diet so its not as bad as when i first started. Man what a time that was lol.

Eat beans every day. Your body will get used to them and gas won't be such a problem. At least that is what has worked for me.

I'm lactose intolerant so whenever I drink my protien shakes, especially with milk, i let out the worst of the worst for at least 5 hours..

One time I let a few rip on the treadmills and the two ppl that were on either side of my treadmills left within a minute.

Pretty embarrassing actually. I sometimes have bad farts at work, but I got one of those flatulence filters (www.gasbgon.com) to sit on when I have bad gas.. it eliminates about 80% of the odor usually, so pretty good.. but watch out.. the carbon on the filter partially bleached a few of my jeans.. sucks.

Try making your own "baked beans," or at least trying another brand. Generally speaking, problems of stomach gas are not connected with beans, but rather with the other ingredients that are thrown into bean dishes (like added fats and sugars, for instance).
