I am in college living by myself now!!!

Okay i have to learn how to cook by myself because i am taking summer classes at my college and breakfast and lunch won't be too hard I think but dinner will be difficult because i don't know what types of dishes i can make (i don't know how to cook!!!)

please help an inexperienced food eater ha ha

(what stuff should I get, what should I cook, etc.)

p.s. i am 18 years old, i am an ectomorph, 6 feet tall, skinny build, and i'm looking to bulk up (but not toomuch on fat) and mostly eat clean food.

Thanks!

How is your dorm room set up? Do you have a fridge, hotplate, Foreman grill?

i have a fridge, microwave, stove, toaster (i live in an apartment). Yah, I wanted to be able to live on my own for 6 weeks while taking summer classes at my college and to be a little more indepedent (freshmen --> sophomore summer).

I will post what i bought in a couple of hours but i need some general guidelines when cooking chicken breast cutlets and other meats, etc

Spray a pan with pam or similar product. Place 4 chicken boneless breasts in the pan (squish together is ok). Season as you like. Cook on 350-375 F for 27 minutes. Turn broiler on for 3 min. Take out and eat with veggies

We save in fridge for two to three days. They make great salads and sandwiches.
Seasoning varieties
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil and drizzle with tad of olive oil
Emeril Lagasse seasoning, sprinkle with light layer (2 Tbsp) bread crumbs.
Lemon pepper, light bread crumbs
Salt, pepper, ceyanne pepper, cumin, oregano, garlic powder
Poultry and fish seasoning, light bread crumbs

Last year was the first time staying on my own, and also my freshmen/sophomore summer too, so I know what you're talking about

. It was different working, taking classes, and cooking for myself. But yeah, Sweet Potatoes were a good side item to my chicken at dinner and near bedtime I would boil some eggs and drink a class of milk. I didn't have a lot of variety my days usually consisted of: Oatmeal, Chicken, Ravioli, Sweet Potatoes, and Eggs.

Good luck to ya!
