I need a good recipe for oatmeal?

Now that the wheather is getting cooler I want to switch to eating oatmeal. Does anyone have any good recipes to an oatmeal that is tasty as well as healthy and not too many calories?

Here is how we make it.

Usually make it and then go shower and dress. By the time, you are finished it is ready to eat.

Because the site is messed up.!! Either cut and paste the link into a new page or see below

oatmeal -- protein fortified
warms you belly & feeds your muscles

03p 15c 02f (03 fiber) - (0.33 cu) oats, rolled (dry)
20p 01c 01f (02 fiber) - (0.80 sc) optimum 100% whey
00p 10c 00f (01 fiber) - (0.50 oz) raisins
07p 10c 00f (00 fiber) - (0.75 cu) milk, non-fat

44P 37c 08f (05 fiber) = 396 total calories

For the oatmeal, measure out the oats and the whey into one bowl?mix together throroughly. Heat the milk for about a minute and a quarter in the microwave (your time may vary). Pour the milk over the dry mixture and mix completely (I hate lumps).

When totally mixed, add the raisins, then heat (cover the bowel with a plate) in the microwave for another 25 seconds. Let it sit for about three minutes. Remove from the microwave, remove cover (plate), and mix thoroughly.

Heres how I make mine.

1 cup of oatmeal
1 banana (chilled)

I boil about a cup or two of water, add it to the oatmeal then cover it up and let it sit for five minutes. Then I take my banana from the fridge and slice it up and mix it around. Have that with a protein shake and you're good to go.

i just microwave oats in water and put peanut butter in them however since they aren't high in protein i will of course have something else, usually an egg white omelet with it.

It's really good. I think the chilled banana is a nice touch. Try it chilled and I'm sure you'll love it.

My favorite is to microwave my oatmeal for a minute, then throw in a few handfuls of frozen blueberries and microwave for another 30-60 seconds.

When I really want to have a feast, I will add walnuts, cinnamon and/or brown sugar. I love the way blueberries sweeten up after being microwaved. I top it off with a little milk.

This may be a stupid question........when you say proten shake. Do you mean you have a protein shake separately or do you mix 1 serving of whey in with the banana and oats?

I drink my shake along with my oatmeal. I don't like the consistency of the oatmeal with whey in it.

1 cup oatmeal
1 cup egg substitute (put 1 whole egg into this mixture to add some fat)
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional - I usually leave this out)

Blend for a minute or two until fairly smooth. Pour 1/4 to 1/3 of the mixture into a non-stick pan and cook like pancakes, turning when cooked on the bottom (won't get too brown).

If you undercook them slightly and cool on a wire rack they can be wrapped and kept in the fridge and warmed in a microwave for 30 seconds. Makes a really quick and easy breakfast.

Some more options:
After heating spread with 1 tsp jam or nut butter
Mix in flax seeds to increase your good fat intake

My wife has a crepe maker that we never used, so I'm going to try and make some crepes with this mixture to see if I can use it as a wrap for sausage and egg burritos. But it is kind of a thick mixture so I'm not sure if it will work.
