Iam going nuts with my diet!!! HELP!!
Ok here is the deal. Iam 22, 5'7, 150lbs. My goal is to gain some bulk (not too much), but iam extremely frustrated about my stomach area. Iam on a diet, very low fat diet, so i can try to get some abs going. I have been working out for almost 3 months now, i take metrx creatinFX and i saw a difference ( a little) in gain. I didnt really take anything besides the pills, i just ate. Then i started to get educated about diets and trying to get lean, so i decided to go on a diet and got some EAS whey proteing to take after the workout. I have been on this diet for almost 3 weeks with almost no results in my stomach area, i still have flabs when i sit down, not those small flabs, its like loose skin or something and iam not fat, thats the thing.
7 A.M, slim fast shake with skim milk, an apple or bananna.
10am, an apple or a plum
12pm, i go to lunch and eat a salad no dressing, rice, and whatever beans or corn they have and the meat of the day (chicken or whatever else they have.)
3pm i drink a protein shake and an apple sometimes
5pm, i go to the gym, i take the creatin fx and walk there (about 6 miles back and forth), i do weights for about an hour, then hit the crosstrainnig for about 30 to 40 mins. After work, i drink another whey protein drink and have a half of a slimfast bar.
8pm get back home. when i look at the mirror, i see no results whatsoever in those 3 months in my stomach area although i do a lot of workouts for the abs. All i can see is my stomach bloated, it looks like i have a huge gut, although i know i dont. Thats where the problem comes in. Anything i eat i get bloated and lots and lots of gas and i am in a semi constepation phase, i go the bathroom about 3 times a week, sometimes less, and when i go i dont put out the usuall amount that iam used to(before starting to work out), i go very extremely small amounts ( 1 turd lol), I know that cant be normal, this has been like that for 3 months almost. so today iam gonna stop the dairy products to see what happenes. but iam about to quit training alltogether because i see no results in my abs area, i look the same as i was 3 months ago, although i eat healthy, very low fat intake in my diet. I need a diet that fits me and its seems like nobody can help me, i need to trim down the fat around my stomach and love handles, somebody said that the bathroom problem is because you dont eat a lot fat, i eat very low fat, almost less than 30 grams a day. What should i do, i hope somebody can give me the right amount of fat and cal and a good ab plan!!!! i dont eat any bread or drink soda.

Welcome to DiscussFitness.com Rabih.
First of all, get rid of the SlimFast shakes and bars.
Second, simply eating a low fat diet won't mean that you'll lose fatthere are a great many other factors involved. If you don't eat enough food, then your body will simply lower your metabolism (energy level) and store as much of your intake as it can as fat. Your muscle size and strength will suffer, and your bone density will reduce.
Eat well, workout hard, and get enough rest.
I see fruits in your diet, but no vegetables. I just steamed 8 oz of broccoli (plenty filling) and got 7.9g prot (incomplete), 5.3g carbs, 0.0g fat, and 5.3g dietary fiber. Low density carbs (high fiber) provide plenty of volume to be satisfying. The total caloric intake is just 65.8! While you will get dietary fiber from your fruits, you clearly need more than you are currently getting. More than likely, that's the reason for your constipation. Shoot for about 35g of fiber per day.
My basic guess is that you should be eating about 2000 calories a day (depending on how your metabolism behaves). If you don't make sure that you feed your body properly (which includes a proper balance of quality proteins, carbs, and fats), the the body will get by, as best it can, on what you give it (typically storing more fat because of it's perceived needs).
Try eating five meals a day, after the following schedule:
meal 1 : 381 calories [ 33p 31c 14f ]
meal 2 : 381 calories [ 33p 31c 14f ]
meal 3 : 476 calories [ 33p 67c 08f ]
-----> workout
meal 4 : 476 calories [ 33p 67c 08f ]
meal 5 : 286 calories [ 33p 13c 11f ]
For a few additional notes, see this post

There's a lot of misinformation out there and well, let's face it, with all those infomercials and weight watchers commercials, what would you expect.
Here are some threads you might want to take a glance at,

Gaffer's Food Experiment

This thread originated in 2002.
I don't see the point in reviving it.
Perhaps you could check the last visit the person posting made to DF. You'll find that in their profile.
