MAX OT GURU - I have a diet question

OK, lost the fat, now trying to bulk. Making some progress, but I want to optimize my progress. I lift MAX OT style.

I'm primarily eating Grilled chicken breast, salads, baked potatoes, some beans, rice. My calories are running a bit over 2000 right now (it was hard to get them that high). My fat intake is staying around 12-15g/day.

During my week off from lifting, I've been studying clips of form, asking questions, reading, just generally gathering information. I've found a few workout tweaks I'm going to do to improve the quality there.

On the AST site, I ran a calculation that says for my body type, my weight, and activity level, I need to be taking in a little over 3000 calories/day with 380g protien, 280g carbs, and up to 47g of fat.

To my little mind, this seems excessive - even for bulking. Does it sound reasonable to others on the same program? I have for the last couple of days been adding a small serving of steak to breakfast instead of chicken breast. Is this a mistake? If it is, no big deal, I'll just cut it off again - but the less I have to cut when that time comes the better.

Opinions, suggestions, anybody else do the diet reccomendations from the AST site? Did you fatten up, muscle up, a little of both?

Thanks
