Morning meal for Morning workout

I take weight training at my high school right. Well, next tri-mester im taking it during zero hour, which means my workout will be at 7 in the morning, (I'm NOT A MORNING PERSON!). So I need to eat a good breakfast that will wake me up a bit, but more than anything give me lots of energy for lifting?

any suggestions....

you may have to experiment with different ideas to see what you respond best to. if you can, try and do some early morning workouts on the weekends or something if possible and see how you do.

oats are great carb sources for pre workout meals.

If I'm eating a quick meal 30-45 minutes before lifting, I like something small but packed with good stuff. One slice of whole-grain bread with PB and sliced banana is one of my favorites. Easy to make, too.

Perfect. Last week, I started having a bagel 45 minutes before lifting and have had great results with that as well. Bagels are portable without having to cook too.

Sounds good. I hadn't thought about oatmeal. I was considering eggs, and toast(rye, with some cinnamon). And I had thought about a banana, thats quick and easy which is nice, something I could even throw in on the drive to the gym.
About something to drink? Should I just stick to water. I thought I should drink some milk with breakfast, considering I drink alot of water DURIING my routine, but still maybe I should stick to the water, I dont know.

Quick morning meal:
Glanced through the replies, all good, I personally like oatmeal with splenda and milk, you worried about all the water you drink, milk in your oatmeal will do the job. And in a microwave, it is fast and quick.
And always focus that early in the morning when starting to lift, a little warm-up will help also. Focus in your mind what you have to do and go after it.
thanks Larry red.......................
