My lack of diet

I have just bought my new house and needed time to settle in and what not, so in this time i have gone from a very lean 14 7lbs to 16st 8lbs.

My body fat before was 14-16% it is now 23%, im totally gutted and to be honest i need to start from fresh with diets and also training regime.

My thoughts where that i should reduce my body fat and weight then when about 15st get back on light weights to tone

Any advice would be great thanks.

In general the diet I recommend my clients goes like this.

Protein: 1-1.5 grams per pound of lean body mass (depending on how much exercise you are doing)
Carbohydrate 0.8 - to 1.2 (depending on how much exercise you are doing)
Liquid Fat 1 TBS per 100lbs body weight

Supplements I recommend are fish oil at 2-4 grams per day, multivitamin, and a protein powder if it helps them follow the diet

As for workouts there are many, I really like some of Charles Poliquins German Volume Training stuff, of which there is a workout here based upon it

How does that sound?
