Ok how bad is this .....

I have been eating one serving of sweets a day for about the last 4 months and have not gained any weight.

I still work out 4 days a week, so is that one serving of sweets really that bad?

I went through the weight loss phase and dropped 20-25 lbs and increased all my lifts. So If I am trying to add more muscle will this hurt or slow it?

Isnt the whole thing if I burn off those bad calories, then its ok? And now its easier for me to burn the calories since I have lost weight and gain muscle, and we all know muscle burns more calories then fat. (I am guessing I have added muscle during the last year since I can lift more, and I weigh less.)

Are all you dedicated lifters really eating NOTHING BUT clean foods and NO junk food?

Thanks!

Speaking for myself...nope. "Everything" in moderation.

I actually only eat clean foods. Not because it it will slow my progress if I don't or anything but because that is what my body is used to. I cannot eat sweets or pizza or hamburgers or anything cause to me they taste totally nasty heh.

Alot of that depends on what your goal is. Im trying to loose as much fat as i can, so, the only day I allow myself any kind of "not healthy" foods is on my free day. (saturday). And even then, I dont go nuts.. maybe one "bad" meal and some snacks through the day.

Once im lean however, Ill be a little more indulgent, as long as its in moderation. Ive got a friend who is probally about 7-8% bodyfat. (he's got very well defined abs) who doesn't eat nearly as strict as I do. Pop-tarts for breakfast for example..

My theory is once you are lean, and keep lifting, that its easier to stay lean than it is to get there.

Yeah, thats what I did. during my weight loss phase I only ate a little bad stuff on the weekend. Its good to hear your friend can eat junk and still stay trim, hopefully I will get there. I dont know what my BF % is, but I have a 2 pack, the top two abs showing and eating junk hasnt runed it yet.

Man, must be nice. I am trying to bulk and I have discovered that I still have to be very careful of what I eat or I will gain fat fast with no muscle.

I had gained like 6lbs and not seen my lifts increase at all but saw my gut increase fast. So i had to lose it again and now im trying to bulk and not get fat lol.
