Question about bread?

If I am wanting to reduce my body fat should I leave bread out of my diet. For some reason I have this in my head that if I have a filled roll or sandwich it is going to hinder this. I am losing weight and feel my clothes are looser but I still have the little rolls of fat around the middle etc. as in my body is getting smaller but still holding on to body fat more than I'd like.

That is too generic of a question since you didn't explain how much you eat otherwise, how intense your workout is or how often. It certainly won't hurt your progress. I like to eat starchy carbs before or after the workout. It ensures you will burn them off.

As a general rule (for a general question :P) i'd steer well clear of any white breads and stick with wholemeal wholegrain breads.

To put it simply, white bread is 'processed' and has most of its nutrients stripped - whereas brown bread uses the whole grain, giving it the benefit of having higher fibre content, as well as other goodies!

If I use white bread and toast it, does it count as brown bread?

Yes, but if you keep toasting until it's even darker, you'll have rye bread. Yum!

I've grown up used to eating brown bread (thanks mum! ) - but i have to admit, there are instances where brown bread just doesn't cut it.... for instance, the great British bacon sarnie!

Sooooo yummy, swimming in ketchup or HP sauce haha!

hmmm white bread like 'wonder' bread and what not is gross, but french baguette warm from the oven?

is that gross? i think not.

generally i prefer healthy type breads, currently eat ezekiel sprouted grain, but there is nothing quite like a basket of warm white bread with real butter, when you are sitting in a restaurant hungry for dinner.

I was tempted to get a bread maker... mmm waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread

Although im not sure how cost-effective it is.... but i guess you at least get the piece of mind that there's no preservatives and other added crap in it!

A bread maker is extremely cost effective, especially if you normally buy wheat bread since wheat bread tends to be expensive.

I got a cheap one (I think it was around $35) by Sunbeam on amazon, and although I've been too lazy to use it lately, it works great!

The thought of waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread is pretty appealing
