Totally bombed the diet...

Oh man. I have been mega stressed out this week from work piling up. So what do I do? Binge on ice cream TWO nights in a row. You'd think I learn from the first night...no. AND part of the stress came from also not having time to workout...or rather, I did have free time but was utterly exhausted from work that I had no motivation what soever. UGH!!! It stops tonight.

It's fine. How many calories did it put you over for the day?

A helpful thing that comes from writing all my calories down is i can go ahead and enter in what i'm about to eat and then look at the astronomical sum of calories before i eat it. Sometimes it detours me, and other times it doesn't. It's all good though and evens out in the long run. If i have a little bit of something i shouldn't, i do some extra cardio. It may not take the whole problem away but it makes a dent in it .

It happens! We all have our comfort routines. The best part is that you recognize the source. It's good to come here and vent when that happens. The lucky ones are those who have an activity like yoga, weights or running that can help them de-stress.

i agree with brat and firehawk. it happens, and try not to stress about it! i know that's easier said then done, but sometimes you just need that ice cream! when i binge out like that (i did it not once, but twice this weekend) i try to fit in extra cardio like firehawk said or i just really watch the cals for a day or two...and it all works out.

Yeah I had a waffle cone with 2 scoops of peanut butter/chocolate ice cream from Baskin Robbins on Saturday AND sunday this weekend. Musta been a weekend for ice cream! I got the nutrition info from their website (was stunned they had it on there). The calorie intake was about 750 calories each time, which isn't HORRID by any stretch, at least not to me. I did an extra hour of cardio and burned most of that off. In fact, i knew iw as gonna eat it so i did the cardio first, then got the ice cream lol...

Last night I had an extremely thick slab of chicken breast on a WW bun. I could only get about 1/3 of the way through the die cut fries which I dipped in chipolte mayo. The Rickard's Red (draft) when down well.

Afterwards I felt incomplete so we went elsewhere for an organic brownie (definately not sweet tasting) and coffee.

Since I don't have a cheat day ritual I couldn't do anything to make up for it so I went to bed to get some much needed rest.

I am starving (and still small) this morning!

The stress of knowing I will be living childless (empty nest syndrome) in a month must be getting to me.

u didnt bomb it.

u can "bomb it" a couple of times in a week.. that wont do too much if ur not "bombing" the rest of the week...

u see, im on a "diet" and yet on saturdays and/or sundays i have something different... like a nice italian sub or something...

if u have crappy food once or twice a week it wont do much to u so dont look back and go "omfg why did i do that?! now i feel like quitting..." forget about it and get back on ur feet.

peace
