Gymgirl eats pretty much like a vegetarian and she often admires the crossfit girl physiques (she's pretty darn close to it herself). She also seems to have abundant energy for CF workouts and more.
Many hardcore crossfitters do the Zone or follow a Paleo diet with intermittent fasting. You should take a look through some of their discussions on nutrition and food. You can certainly follow a
Zone diet as a vegetarian but not a paleo diet.
I never had much luck with vegetarian eating but then I didn't want to put in the time and energy to figure out what combination of food would work under such restrictions.
