Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. Imagine what you'd be going through if you hadn't been taking care of yourself the way you have been. I'm sure your dedication to honing your bod will make this nothing but a minor blip.

Thanks for the well-wishes folks. I'm expecting that this 'fix' will allow me to finally jump over that physical blockade that's been keeping me from reaching some of my fitness goals.

Amazing what just another day of ice makes (and a few pain pills ... ) Now I only have to have the ice on for 6 hours a day (I can sleep without it). The stitches will be out in just 10 days! I'm anxious to find out on what graduated schedule I can safely transition back into lifting. In the meantime I'm going to maintain the metabolism with some cardio (as allowed by the doc).
It's pretty damn amazing that they can clean up a joint like this and have me on the road to successful recovery with almost no down-time.
With gauze off, you can clearly see the three-point approach to the target rotator cuff:

All the best to the fastest recovery possible Cursor. :.
Also just by observing this latest shoulder pic (this is a compliment i believe), my god how nice does your skin look for your age, the texture of it looks like a 20-25year olds skin type. Any trick to having skin looking like yours at your age. I know alot of people in their 50s and they start to have very thin and wrinkly type of skin. Yours looks fabulous.
Hopefully now you have this operation done and after recovering you will reach your goals! All the best

Lady C and I went to Las Vegas this weekend to spend time with our grown children. The irregular (and in many cases 'non-existent' shoulder icings were simply murder. We're back home now and today I'll be getting back on track with the recovery treatment. Stitches come out on Thursday.
With respect to the quality of my skin, reasonably limiting sun exposure and eating reasonably well must help. While a reasonable tan is nice, charring is hardly necessary (at least not for me). I also sauna several times a week. I expet that helps some.

I've been easing back into the exercise (very gradually) following my shoulder surgery. I've been doing some (progressive) passive stretching during these last couple of weeks. On Monday I started using very light dumbbells during the stretching. Yesterday I was pretty pumped after performing a mini-set (five reps, wide grip) of body-weight pull-ups! Little by little ...

That's a commendable number of wide- grip pullup reps post-surgery.
My shoulders have never felt better since I've made pull-ups a regular part of what I do. They are my number 1 exercise.
Thanks for sharing.

Substantially better now, even after just a couple of weeks. There is no 'popping' anymore (nor the associated pain) since all the loose nonsense has been cleaned out. Range of motion is good. I'm looking forward to being able to handle heavier loads relatively soon.

Don't expect too much too soon.
On the other hand, adopting a quality fitness plan (and then following through, of course) can promise surprising success. Learning as much as you can about how your body works (constantly tweaking your plan as you learn) is the key to efficient results.
Best of luck in your efforts, angelus.
